Another way of telling Marsala
Unusual Marsala was born from the desire to rethink the narrative of an extraordinary city, linking wine, food, hospitality and new technologies.
A hybrid project, combining physical and digital experiences, professionalism and collective participation.
It is not a fair. It is not a festival. It is not a convention. It is something different.
It is Unusual.
The project is conceived and curated by Eureka - Culture and Innovation, a Parma-based cultural association active since 2018.
Eureka develops events, educational paths and publishing projects that interweave art, science, sustainability and technology.
Unusual Marsala is the natural evolution of Sicily Digital Summer School, a summer school organized for ten years in Favignana, focused on writing, music, communication and hospitality.
From that experience came the idea of opening up to a wider audience, transforming the school into a public, widespread, accessible project.
Today, Insolito Marsala takes up the legacy and relaunches it, connecting territories, professions and visions.
Eureka is also the creator of the review Scritture d'Acqua, the Mini Digital Festival, the MadeinParma.com and MadeinEgadi.com publishing platforms, and the Street Islands urban art format, born from the Marsala Colorata project, launched during the first edition of the festival.
Making Insolito Marsala a reference point for those seeking an authentic and contemporary Sicily, capable of imagining the future starting from what it is today.
A project that connects places, people and ideas.
That unites the points of a city - among wineries, bars, restaurants, squares - to tell the best of a changing territory.
An occasion where those who participate bring something, and at the same time take something away. Whether you are a professional, a producer, a student or a curious person, there is room for you here.
To build a recognizable, accessible, open event.
A space where to experiment, create, propose new forms of relationships.
An appointment that enhances the territory through real connections and shared possibilities.
